Integrations
CelerSearch indexes core WordPress content (posts, pages, taxonomies, authors) and WooCommerce products out of the box. Data from other plugins — custom fields, custom tables, and the like — is added to the search record through CelerSearch's indexing hooks. The pattern is the same everywhere: read the value, attach it to the record, then mark it searchable, filterable, or sortable.
Plugin guides
- BuddyPress — route member-directory searches through a CelerSearch Users index, include public Extended Profile fields, and keep member records synced.
- Meta Box — built-in integration: your Meta Box fields (including fields stored in Custom Database Tables) appear as toggles in the index attribute pickers — enable them as searchable/filterable/sortable with no code.
Anything with custom fields
The same three-step recipe covers any custom-field source — you just read the value with that
plugin's API (or get_post_meta() for plain post meta):
// Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), for example:
add_filter( 'celersearch_searchable_post_shared_attributes', function ( $attrs, $post ) {
$attrs['rating'] = (float) get_field( 'rating', $post->ID ); // or get_post_meta()
return $attrs;
}, 10, 2 );
Then mark the field searchable/filterable with
celersearch_posts_index_settings and rebuild once. See the
Meta Box guide for the fully worked example, including the caveats for
custom database tables and large sites.
